About Us

Who We Are

My love for brachycephalic (brachy) breeds began over 20 years ago in California with the adoption of 3 pugs. At the time I did not place importance on choosing an AKC dog with papers, as I was focused on adopting and giving these lil pugs a loving home. As fate would have it, I ended up with 2 out of 3 special needs pugs. One dog had neurological problems and another was a breeder rescue and she was terrified of men. She developed weakness in her hind legs and ended up needing a wheelchair, became incontinent, and I had to manually express her bladder. I gave all my energy and love into keeping these 3 dogs as healthy as possible. Over the course of their lifetime, I spent over $50k in vet bills, surgeries, specialists, prescription food, etc. After my 3 pugs passed away and I had time to reflect, I realized I would have benefited from more health research for brachy breeds and additional breeder insight. Brachy breeds come with their own set of unique needs such as the use of a harness as opposed to a collar, weight management and temperature requirements to name a few. If you are uncertain about this breed, ask questions. Talk to someone who has a frenchie and ask what they like or don't like about owning the dog. We want to make sure we pair you up with the right companion and you understand the needs of this breed.

Fast-forward a decade after my pugs passed away and a move to East Tennessee took place. A plan was put into place to realize a dream: breed healthy brachy dogs. Now you’ve probably looked at countless websites researching the addition of a new family member. It’s an important decision. I’ll tell you what makes us different: we are truly focused on improving the brachy breed.

Our dogs are treated with immense amounts of love and spend an abundance of time with humans and their fellow frenchies. These are NOT puppy mill dogs. Our puppies are hand-raised inside the home and get plenty of exercise and stimuli. Of course, mom is with her pups the entire time until they find their forever homes after 8 weeks of age.

Our 12 adult french bulldogs alternate spending time inside the home and in their roomy, custom-built kennels complete with bedding, blankets, heat, air conditioning, fresh flowing water and access to an outside run (see More Info page for pics of our frenchie accommodations). We designed and built our facilities long before the first litter was even born. It was extremely important to us that everything be dialed-in and as comfortable as we could make it for them. Plus, with the addition of a dog wash/grooming station inside their kennels, it is much easier to keep their coats clean if they get dirty during play time.

As you can imagine, taking care of 12 frenchie adults, any puppies in the house (plus our 2 large mixed breed dogs) is a full-time job. We are available almost exclusively to care for our dogs. When we do need to spend brief time away from the kennels, the dogs are under 24/7 LIVE PERSON professional 3rd party video monitoring complete with real-time dispatch. The safety of our dogs is paramount only to their health.
